Ontario Trial Lawyers Elect New President

    TORONTO, June 12 /CNW/ - Patrick Brown was elected President of the
Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) on May 23, 2008 at the Association's
annual general meeting in Toronto. Mr. Brown has served on the Association's
Board of Directors for eight years and four years on its Executive Committee.
    Mr. Brown is a partner at the firm McLeish Orlando LLP in Toronto where
his practice is restricted to acting on behalf of injured people and families
who have lost a loved one at the fault of another.
    Mr. Brown has been very active in advocating reform of automobile
insurance in the Ontario, promoting the rights of the injured and disabled. He
has also played an active role in advocating the rights of the elderly and
cyclists throughout Ontario.
    He has written and published extensively on the matter of auto insurance
reform, has lectured on the subject throughout Ontario, has enlisted other
interested groups to become involved and has taken the cause of auto insurance
reform to Queen's Park on many occasions.
    Joining Mr. Brown in leading OTLA is President Elect Judith Hull from
London and Vice President, Dale Orlando, from Toronto.
