TORONTO, Nov. 6 /CNW/ - Today the Ontario Energy Board (the Board) issued
an Oral Decision on Union Gas Limited's (Union) Motion for an order
implementing new rates on an interim basis effective January 1, 2008.
Union requested an increase of $21.9 million. The Board approved an
increase of $7 million. The $7 million is made up of costs which were
previously approved by the Board related to the storage premium, Demand Side
Management programs and the Gas Distribution Access Rule.
Union Gas will be filing a draft Rate Order for the new interim rates
within the next few weeks.
Final rates will be determined when the Board renders its final decision
on the matter.
