OEB issues Decision on Motion regarding 2006 Distribution Rates for Thunder Bay Hydro

TORONTO, June 22 /CNW/ - Today the Ontario Energy Board (the Board)
issued a Decision on a Motion by Thunder Bay Hydro Electricity Distribution
Inc.(TB Hydro) relating to errors in TB Hydro's 2006 Distribution Rates filing
and the related Rate Orders for 2006 and 2007.
TB Hydro had requested a rate rider effective November 1, 2007 allowing
retroactive revenue recoveries totalling $650,000. TB Hydro indicated this
would result in a total bill impact for a typical residential customer of 3%
on their monthly bill. The Board has determined that retroactive revenue
recoveries totalling approximately $309,000 will be allowed, effective August
1, 2007.
The Board has directed TB Hydro to file with the Board proposed rates
incorporating the Board's findings within 7 days of this Decision.
The Ontario Energy Board regulates the province's electricity and natural
gas sectors in the public interest. It envisions a viable and efficient energy
sector with informed consumers served by responsive regulatory processes that
are effective, fair and transparent.
