Oceanex invests $5.0 million at its St. John's terminal

    MONTREAL, July 11 /CNW Telbec/ - Oceanex is pleased to announce the
purchase of a $5.0 million Liebherr mobile harbour crane for its St. John's
terminal. The new crane, which was ordered from Germany on May 12, 2008, began
service on July 6 unloading the Oceanex Avalon.
    "With this addition, Oceanex now operates two new Liebherr cranes at the
Company's main terminal in St. John's and will soon have a new crane operating
at our Corner Brook facility. This will ensure quick vessel turnaround and
many years of reliable service" said Captain Sidney Hynes, Executive Chairman
of Oceanex Inc. "Earlier this year, we increased our 53' container fleet and
expanded reefer capacity at our St. John's and Corner Brook terminals. This
latest investment is further evidence of our ongoing and long-term commitment
to the province of Newfoundland and Labrador and to our clients".
