"ObamaTails" - Preparations underway in Washington

    OTTAWA, Jan. 19 /CNW Telbec/ - Ottawa's signature BeaverTails(R) pastry
will be transformed into "ObamaTails' and served at the Canadian Embassy in
Washington, D.C., tomorrow as part of a "Tailgate Party" to celebrate the
inauguration of President Barack Obama. Some 1,000 guests have been invited to
view the inaugural parade from the Canadian Embassy's prime location on
Pennsylvania Avenue.
    The unique "ObamaTails" will be topped with a large whipped cream and
chocolate sauce letter "O."

Inc., are on the ground in Washington finalizing preparations to serve the
"ObamaTails" from a specially fabricated tent depicting President Obama's
    To celebrate the inauguration in BeaverTails' home town, the "ObamaTail"
will be added to the menu all day January 20 at BeaverTail locations on the
Rideau Canal Skateway and at the BeaverTail kiosk in the Byward Market.
    BeaverTails(R) are delicious, whole wheat flour-based pastries loosely
shaped like the business end of one of Canada's best-known national symbols,
the beaver. The pastries are float cooked on high-quality Canola oil,
garnished with a variety of toppings and served hot to eager patrons.
