Oakville Resident charged with Heroin Importation

    OAKVILLE, ON, Oct. 19 /CNW/ - Late on Thursday October 18th, 2007 the
Royal Canadian Mounted Police Hamilton-Niagara Regional Drug Enforcement
Section arrested and charged an Oakville resident with heroin importation and
possession for the purpose of trafficking. Canada Border Services Agency
officers at the International Mail Centre in Mississauga seized approximately
100 grams of heroin.

    Charged is:-

    Clement STEPHENS, age 42 of Oakville, Ontario

    "Through shared information, gathered from numerous sources, law
enforcement agencies are able to ensure that drugs can be seized before they
reach our streets. This reduces the risk to our communities," stated S/Sgt.
Kevin Payne, in charge of the Hamilton-Niagara Regional Drug Enforcement
Section. "The information that we received from Canada Border Services Agency
lead directly to the arrest."
    First appearance is scheduled for October 19th, 2007 at the courthouse in
Milton, Ontario.
