NuMedia Games Announces New Director

VANCOUVER, March 4 /CNW/ - NuMedia Games Inc. (TSX-V: GME) is very
pleased to announce the appointment of BC businessman John Jepson to the Board
of Directors. Mr. Jepson attended the University of Toronto where he won the
Duke of Wellington Scholarship in Mathematics and began his career as an
insurance actuary. He became an officer of the Department of Insurance in the
Canadian Department of Finance. He later became the President & CEO of Capsco
Canada (later renamed Solcorp), where he managed a successful buyout of the
company from Swiss Reinsurance. After several years of rapid growth Mr. Jepson
led the sale of the company to EDS.
Following the sale, Mr. Jepson was able to pursue his lifetime passion of
art. He founded Phillips Gallery of Fine Art in Carmel CA, and this was
followed by Rip Squeak Inc., a fine art company based in San Luis Obispo CA.
Mr. Jepson replaces retiring Director Cedric Steele, who will continue to
make his valuable contribution as a member of the company's Audit Committee
for this interim period.
The company is also pleased to reappoint Mr. Ron McLean, CGA to the
position of Acting CFO, a position he held for many years prior to the
appointment of pre-cease trade order CFO David Crombie four months ago.
During the cease trade period, the company continues to work closely with
KPMG, its auditors, to facilitate their audit so that it can file the Annual
Financial Statements and Management Discussion & Analysis as soon as possible.
It is now our understanding that their work can be completed by late-March. We
are confident that once the Exchange has concluded its reinstatement review,
as done through the normal course of business, the cease trade order will be
revoked and the company's stock will be freely traded as before.
