Noveko International Inc. Announces the Closing of the Acquisition of Purer Life, Taiwan

    MONTREAL, Aug. 1 /CNW Telbec/ - Noveko International Inc. ("Noveko" or
the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has closed today in Taipei,
Taiwan (3:26 p.m. Taipei time; (3:26 a.m., Montreal time) the purchase of all
the shares of Purer Life Technology Co., Ltd., a Taiwan-based corporation, and
of U-Bond Inc., a firm of the same group (collectively "Purer Life"), after
the transfer of nearly all the assets of Lungchia Plastics Co., Ltd. to Purer
    After the purchase of these shares, Noveko, through its subsidiaries, is
now the owner of the intellectual property rights to seven types of patents
issued either in Taiwan, China, or in the USA (for a total of 10 patents); 3-D
filter technology and multi-functional and self purification shoe soles
technology (that can be used in the manufacturing of any type of shoes)
neutralizing bacteria, viruses, and odors are examples of patents already
granted. Also acquired are the intellectual property rights to 15 patent
applications, either in Taiwan or internationally, under the Patent
Cooperation Treaty procedure, including technology to capture and transform   
 CO2 and filters who generate negative ion neutralizing bacteria, viruses,
molds and yeasts on ambient objects.

    Details of the Transactions

    The total consideration for the acquisition of these shares was
CA$2,500,000 plus CA$3,355,000, being the equivalent of 1,100,000 multiplied
by the closing price of the Noveko's Class A Shares on July 31, 2008. Shares
of Purer Life were acquired directly by Noveko and those of U-Bond were
acquired by Noveko Trading 2008 LLC, the recently formed Hungarian subsidiary
of the Company. Mr. Hung-Jen Chen, President of Purer Life, has subscribed
from the Company to 1,100,000 Class A Shares at the same price per share
(CA$3.05) than referred to above, for a total subscription price of
$3,355,000. The 1,100,000 Company's Class A Shares issued to him are subject
to a mandatory four-month hold period. The Company has granted to Mr. Chen, in
his quality of President of Purer Life, options to acquire a total of 200,000
Class A Shares of Noveko, at a price of $3.05 per share.

    Revolutionary Filter Technologies

    "The 3-D filter technology of Purer Life combined with Noveko's patented
antimicrobial filtration technology may constitute a radical change of the
worldwide filtration market. These combined technologies will allow our
products to stop and neutralize 99.99% of the viruses and bacteria without
hindering air velocity. This will allow hospitals and commercial, industrial,
residential, and agricultural buildings, to optimize air quality without
having to change their ventilation or filtration systems," declared from
Taipei Alain Bolduc, President and Chief Operating Officer of Noveko. André
Leroux, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company declared from
Montreal that "the revolutionary technologies of Purer Life will be easily
integrated into Noveko Group's products, some of which being already used by
Purer Life for the manufacturing of Noveko's filters."

specialize in the development and manufacture of filtration fabric. Finally,
BLI is involved in the custom processing and distribution of steel products
based on client specifications.
