    EKO / TSX Venture Exchange

MONTREAL, Feb. 14 /CNW Telbec/ - Noveko International Inc. ("Noveko" or
the "Company") announces new spinoffs from the exclusive distribution
agreement with Monitrol Inc. (Boucherville, Quebec), a North American leader
in ventilation software and hardware for farm buildings. Under this agreement,
Monitrol Inc. acts as the exclusive distributor of Noveko Inc.'s patented
antimicrobial air filters to hog and poultry farms in North America (Canada,
the United States and Mexico). Pursuant to this agreement, Noveko Inc. has
made new sales of $0.5 million to pork producers in Quebec, Ontario, Western
Canada and the United States - furthermore, to meet growing demand, Monitrol
Inc. has placed a new order for 5,000 Noveko(TM) antimicrobial air filters
including their support structures, which represents additional sales of
$2.0 million.

Noveko(TM) antimicrobial air filter - proven ability to prevent airborne
introduction to swine facilities of PRRSV, the virus causing the most costly
disease for the North American swine industry.

"We are very pleased that farms like F. Ménard inc. and J.P. Dion et fils
inc. in Quebec, Hytek Ltd in Western Canada and the United States, and Dan
Bred in Ontario, have acquired the Noveko(TM) antimicrobial air filtration
system to equip about 1% of their operations and thereby protect their
facilities. Our first sales to these farms represent $0.5 million. These
operators opted for the air filters derived from our patented antimicrobial
technology because of their proven ability to prevent airborne introduction to
swine facilities of the PRRS virus and to destroy pathogens on the filter's
surface. For these farms, they represent an advantage aimed at maximizing the
effectiveness of their biodiversity activities against any extremely harmful
pathogen," indicated Alain Bolduc, President and Chief Operating Officer of

The hog farm market includes more than 60,000 Breeders in Canada and the
    United States

According to Gilles Routhier, President of Monitrol Inc.: "The study on
the effectiveness of Noveko(TM) antimicrobial air filters jointly conducted by
Dr. Laura Batista of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Université de
Montréal and the Centre de développement du porc du Québec inc., the
conclusive results of which were announced two months ago, is of major
importance for the North American swine industry. These results enable us to
intensify the development of this market which includes more than 60,000 hog
farms in Canada and the United States, not to mention Mexico, each of which
has a few units to several hundred buildings."
