Nissan Hypercube Finalists' Fate in Hands of Canadian Judges after Online Voting Completed

    - Winners to be Announced at Regional Events on June 23 -

    MISSISSAUGA, ON, May 28 /CNW/ - Nissan Canada Inc. (NCI) today confirmed
the 500 finalists vying to win one of 50 brand-new 2009 Nissan cubes will
learn their fate at simultaneous events in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal on
June 23, 2009. After almost a month of online public voting for Hypercube
competitors, the finalists' online auditions are now being judged by an
amazing group of prominent Canadians.
    "The Hypercube judging panel represents everything cube - hip, stylish
and unexpected," said Jeff Parent, Vice President of Sales and Marketing with
Nissan Canada. "We know the judges will pick the most talented and unique 50
Hypercube finalists to drive away in their own 2009 Nissan cube."
    The auditions will be evaluated based on uniqueness, creativity,
personality, enthusiasm, survey responses and peer voting. The judges have a
difficult decision as the finalists pushed the limits of creativity and
resourcefulness to stand out in the crowd.

    English Judging Panel:

    Greig Nori is Canadian rock royalty as the founding member and front man
for Treble Charger and manager and producer for rock sensation Sum 41.
    Vancouver-based snowboarding goddess Leanne Pelosi is one of the hardest
working ladies in snowboarding finishing the top female worldwide on the
Transworld exposure meter.
    Camera genius Dustin Rabin is recognized within the music industry as one
of Canada's top concert photographers, a favourite of many of the bands he
works with.

    French Judging Panel:

    Podcasting guru Sylvain Grand Maison is the founder of PodMtl and is an
expert in developing social media business strategies and web content.
    Empress of 'what's next' Catherine Ethier is the creative editor,
designer and writer for of, the online magazine dedicated to emerging
    Philippe Fehmiu is a culture junkie and for the past 20 years has used
this expertise on a variety of platforms including as a VJ on MusiquePlus, on
the web and with Radio Canada.

    Winners unable to attend the regional events will be contacted by Nissan
directly and arrangements will be made for the delivery of the vehicle.
