Nightingale selected as a preferred vendor for the Saskatchewan Medical Association Electronic Medical Records Program

    MARKHAM, ON, Jan. 27 /CNW/ - Saskatchewan Medical Association (SMA) has
announced to its members that Nightingale Informatix Corporation
("Nightingale") (TSX-V: NGH), an application service provider (ASP) of
electronic medical record (EMR) software and related services, web based
Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Practice Management solution, Nightingale
On Demand has been selected by the SMA as one of four preferred EMR vendors
for the SMA EMR Program.
    The EMR Program will be made available to approximately 1,400
fee-for-service and contracted physicians within the province of Saskatchewan.
Under this program, Nightingale On Demand, Nightingale's widely used fully
featured web-based solution, will be funding eligible for physician offices in
Saskatchewan upon the completion of further conformance testing and the
signing of an agreement between the SMA and Nightingale. Testing and contract
negotiations are scheduled to commence immediately with all four preferred EMR

    Approximately 10 to 15 percent of physicians in the province have adopted
an EMR. Through a five year plan, the province plans to significantly increase
EMR adoption to over an estimated 80%. Once certified, Nightingale products
will be funding eligible to over 1,000 physicians that may decide to select
the Nightingale EMR product.
