Niagara Wi-Fi Network scheduled to launch in Thorold

    ReliaClear Canada, Wi-Hop Networks and N.E. Ware Communications are
    pleased to partner with the City of Thorold in bringing forth new
    technologies to support the Niagara Region economy.

    TORONTO, Nov. 7 /CNW/ - The consortium of companies invites the
Government and media to view a private demonstration of a new and innovative
Wi-Fi Internet Network that is currently under development and expected to
blanket the entire Niagara Region upon its completion. The multi-phase project
is scheduled to begin with the city of Thorold as a test pilot and
installations are anticipated to begin in the early part of 2008.
    The Media event on Friday, November 9th, 2007 will be held at ReliaClear
Canada's Office located at 3430 Schmon Parkway in Thorold, Ontario and will
begin at 10:00 am. This event is not open to the public.
    Michael Somerville, President of ReliaClear Canada will be outlining the
details of the project which will enhance the quality of life for Niagara's
residents while improving the economic competitive advantage for Niagara's
business community at the same time.
    "The goal of this project is not only to create opportunities within the
Niagara Region that will help to retain its youth, but to attract new
businesses as well," announced Mr. Somerville. He continues by adding,
"ReliaClear is proud to be part of this initiative which follows our company's
strong mandate to support our local communities through new technological
    Henry D'Angela, Mayor of Thorold, stated, "It is inspiring to see
partnerships such as this come together so strategically and I believe this
development will not only strengthen our technology industry but will boost
our local economy as well. I feel this is a very exciting and historic time
for the City of Thorold and delighted the consortium has chosen Thorold to
pilot the project at no cost to the taxpayer."
    Wi-Hop Networks representative, Scott MacRae, added to the announcement
"Wi-Hop is happy to introduce Green Technology to the Green Belt of Niagara"
and N.E. Ware President, Jerry Moroch stated, "We are proud to provide the
Wi-Fi hardware necessary to complete this project".
