NewStep Networks to Discuss Carrier Migration to Fixed/Mobile Convergence
Solutions as a Means to Meet Customer Requirements
TORONTO, March 26 /CNW/ - NewStep Networks, Inc., the leader in
convergence for service providers and enterprises, will showcase its CSN
platform, the most widely-deployed Voice Call Continuity (VCC)-based
fixed-mobile convergence solution in the telecommunications industry, at the
CTIA Wireless 2007 Conference and Expo.
In addition, NewStep Networks' Director of Product Management Phillip
Richards will discuss in a panel discussion "Protocol: Advancements in the
Efficient use of Spectrum" how VoIP mobility not only enables new devices and
applications, but also presents a wide range of challenges with issues such as
roaming, network interconnectivity and authentication.
"As far as we've come with mobility in recent years, there is still a lot
more we can offer," said Richards. "From the user's perspective, mobility is
all about ease of use, flexibility and ultimately increased productivity. It
is crucial that as an industry we quickly meet these expectations.'
NewStep Networks' CSN converged services platform is being used in
British Telecom's Corporate Fusion converged services offering in the UK, and
in Embarq's Smart Connect convergence offering in the US. CSN is currently
being trialed at many other service providers around the world.
Richards' panel discussion will be 3:15 p.m. Monday, March 26, at the
CTIA's VoIP Mobility Co-conference prior to Wireless 2007. Both conferences
will be in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
