News advisory - Paperworkers hold caucus on AbitibiBowater cuts

    MONTREAL, Dec. 3 /CNW Telbec/ - About 100 unionized paperworkers will
meet in Montreal this week to develop a coordinated plan of action in response
to AbitibiBowater's recently announced mill closures and plans to re-open
negotiated collective agreements.
    The Communications, Energy and Paperworkers of Canada has organized the
meeting of representatives from 35 Locals from across Canada, Dec.5 - 6 at the
Delta Hotel.

    The meeting is closed to the media but a statement will be released
following the meeting.
