News Advisory - Ontario Election Debate will Examine Province's Environmental Priorities

    TORONTO, Oct. 1 /CNW/ - The Priorities for Ontario coalition of
13 leading environmental organizations is presenting an environmental issues
election debate on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at the Isabel Bader Theatre in
Toronto. Representatives of Ontario's four major parties will debate leading
environmental issues, including forest protection, clean energy, Great Lakes
health, toxics, waste and curbing urban sprawl.

    Moderator: Murray Campbell, Globe and Mail

    Party representatives:

    Liberal Party: Donna Cansfield (Transportation minister,
    formerly energy minister)
    Progressive Conservatives: TBA
    New Democratic Party: Peter Tabuns (Environment and Energy critic)
    Green Party: Victoria Serda (Deputy Leader)

    Time: 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
