New service in the CIT Roussillon - Transdev Limocar invests more than $6 million in passenger transportation in the CIT Roussillon region

MONTREAL, July 16 /CNW Telbec/ - Transdev Limocar, the new carrier for
the CIT Roussillon region, which includes the towns of Delson, Saint-Constant
and Sainte-Catherine, today introduced a new completely revised, improved
public transit service. Transdev Limocar is proud to have been able to
collaborate in a complete overhaul of the CIT Roussillon transit system. It
has invested time and effort, as well as $6 million for the purchase of new
vehicles. This investment ensures the company can both better serve the
population of these three municipalities travelling to and from Montréal and
Brossard and improve the quality of the services it provides to its customers.
The fact that Transdev Limocar was chosen as the carrier for CIT Roussillon
was welcomed by the company, which strongly believes in developing public
transit in the region. The renewal of the regular service fleet with fully air
conditioned buses will also help improve service quality.
"We are proud to be able to serve the population of Roussillon again, and
to have worked with the CIT Roussillon and its partners in the region to
improve the system," remarks Transdev Canada Inc. Managing Director Paul Wren.
"We make a point of providing users a quality service at all times. Combining
Transdev's international expertise and Limocar's knowledge, this new contract
with CIT Roussillon represents the first field application of our joint
development efforts in Québec."
The service contract between Transdev Limocar and CIT Roussillon is for
10 years for service between the towns of Delson, Sainte-Catherine and
Saint-Constant to Montréal and Brossard. The contract goes into effect today,
and terminates on July 15, 2018.
