Customer chooses ActiveMine to maximize productivity for underground
TORONTO, June 16 /CNW/ - Active Control Technology Inc. (TSX-V:ACT) today
announced that a leading US underground coal mining company has issued two
purchase orders for ActiveMine(TM), the premier wireless voice communications
and tracking system for mines.
ActiveMine wireless Wi-Fi network equipment will be installed in all
operating areas of two mines and will feature an initial order totalling 94
ActiveMine nodes. The new systems will include Mine Safety and Health
Administration (MSHA) approved network equipment, handsets, and tracking

The purchase orders follow legislation in the US, which mandated that all
underground coal mines file revised Emergency Response Plans (ERP) with MSHA
by June 15, 2009.
The Company anticipates additional new customers and multiple purchase
orders as MSHA completes ERP reviews and plan approvals over the coming
