New conventions confirmed for Montréal - The Palais des congrès awarded four major events expected to generate over $10M for Montréal

    MONTREAL, June 16 /CNW Telbec/ - The Société du Palais des congrès de
Montréal recently confirmed four new Canadian and international conventions.
Together, they will generate $10 million in economic spin-offs for Montréal,
namely through the 12,500 room nights expected to be booked in hotels across
the city.
    These four Canadian and international conventions will be held between
2010 and 2014:

    Congrès international sur la diversité biologique
    International convention scheduled for July 2010
    1,000 delegates
    10 exhibitors
    2,840 room nights

    Canadian Association of Accredited Mortgage Professionals
    Canadian convention scheduled for November 2010
    2,200 delegates
    90 exhibitors
    5,760 room nights

    Society for Environmental Graphic Design
    American convention scheduled for June 2011
    700 delegates
    50 exhibitors
    900 room nights

    Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine
    American convention scheduled for September 2014
    1,200 delegates
    70 exhibitors
    2,960 room nights
