Navigation Systems Group Ltd. is pleased to announce that Star has undertaken
a major re-branding of its corporate image and innovative product offering. In
addition to a new company logo and new marketing literature, the company's
core product formally known as "ISMS" (In-flight Safety Monitoring System) has
been re-branded as TERRASTAR(TM) "The New Black Box".
The new TERRASTAR(TM) logo boasts a strong linear font design with a
transmission signal motif and the trademark pending "The New Black Box"
wording. The rationale behind the name is TERRA (ref. ground) and Star (ref.
sky) referring to the fact that the TERRASTAR(TM) system is a real-time air to
ground monitoring system. The New Black Box (a common device in aircraft)
refers to the fact that TERRASTAR(TM) is the new technology that provides
aircraft monitoring and instant system diagnostics to the ground in real-time
This proprietary patented technology provides real-time specific data
transmissions that will enhance aviation safety, facilitate the reduction of
maintenance costs, and provide the opportunity to dramatically increase
airline profits. Star Navigation is actively developing new applications for
in-flight medical monitoring, environmental monitoring and ground-based
