New Board Appointments for CNIB in Ontario

    TORONTO, Aug. 25 /CNW/ - Managing Director, Central Zone, Paul Ting,
announced today changes to the Central Zone Advisory Board.
    Ed Gamrot, Diane Low and George Papadakis have joined as members of the
Central Zone Advisory Board. Ed is Senior Account Manager, GE Capital. Diane
is a Human Resources Executive. George is an optometrist.
    Existing members who will continue to serve on the board are: Eric Hanna
(Chair), Michael Gottheil, George Hamilton, Dan Moore, Jack Penaligon, Randy
Rutherford, Deborah Swail and Elizabeth Ryan.
    The changes took effect immediately.
    The Central Zone Advisory Board contributes significantly to the
development of Ontario and Nunavut, providing strategic counsel on all matters
related to the two provinces.
    CNIB works to enhance independence for people with vision loss and is the
leader in promoting vision health. Central Zone provides vision rehabilitation
programs and services to 56,981 clients located in Ontario and Nunavut. This
number amounts to 49 per cent of all CNIB clients nationally.
