NDP against the subway to York - in their own words and actions

TORONTO, April 12 /CNW/ - This morning the Ontario NDP are panicking and
in full fledged damage control mode to try and cover up their new policy of
stopping the subway expansion to York University and beyond.
But they cannot hide or spin their way out of their betrayal of Toronto,
York University students and York Region residents.
Their actions and words are clear.
April 4, 2006 - Howard Hampton and the NDP stood in their place and voted
against the TTC subway expansion.
April 11, 2007 - Howard Hampton pledges the NDP election platform is to
cancel the subway expansion:
"We don't need another subway mega project... extending the subway into a
lightly populated York Region."
Here's what Toronto Mayor David Miller has to say about the subway
"That link is a critical transportation link in Toronto because it links
downtown to the 905 and creates a new transportation hub in Vaughan. We should
be city building. These links should have been done years ago." (David Miller,
Toronto Star, March 24, 2006)
With this massive betrayal of public transit and the people of Toronto
and York Region, we can understand why the Ontario NDP are panicked today.
    Who's side are they on?
