Naturist journalism prizes announced

MONTREAL, Aug. 8 /CNW/ - The Fondation naturiste du Québec (Naturist
Foundation of Québec) is pleased to announce this year's winners of its two
Canadian naturist journalism prizes. These are for the best articles appearing
in Canada in 2006 (one each in French and English) which deal with naturism in
non-naturist publications.
The prizes are $150 each and a certificate. They will be awarded in a
presentation on August 18, at the fourth annual Canadian naturist festival.
This colourful festival takes place at Centre naturiste la Pommerie,
St-Antoine-Abbé QC, August 16 to 19.

    This year's winners are:

In French: Samuel Pradier, for his article "Leurs univers mis à nu : Une
journée chez les naturistes", in the magazine Dernière Heure, August 12, 2006.
In English: Tim Querengesser, for his article "The great wide open: In
Canada's northwest, uninhibited adventurers are giving 'northern exposure' a
whole new meaning," in the magazine Up Here, July/August, 2006.

Other finalists were Nancy Hamel (Adorable au summum), Chris Barry
(Montreal Mirror), Rochelle Lash (Montreal Gazette), and Jennifer Maloney
(North Shore Outlook).
The prize jury was composed of eight bilingual individuals: journalists
and naturist leaders, national and international. The Naturist Foundation of
Québec awards these prizes annually in co-operation with the Québec Naturist
Federation and the Federation of Canadian Naturists.
