National Nurse Appreciation Week - Wednesday, May 13, 2009

TORONTO, May 13 /CNW/ - It is National Nursing Week (May 11-17), and on
behalf of all of Ontario's doctors I would like to take a moment to recognize
nurses for their hard work and dedication to patients and the health care
system. Working on the frontlines, nurses have and will continue to play a
critical role in ensuring that patients across the province receive the health
care services they need and deserve.
Ontario's health care system continues to evolve at a rapid pace. All
health care professionals are faced with many challenges on a day-to-day basis
and the government has tough decisions to make, which is why it is important
that we work together so that we can better serve our patients.
By working collaboratively with nurses and other health care
professionals, we can deliver high quality services and provide timely access
to every Ontarian.
