MONTREAL, Nov. 27 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are invited to the
first ever LEAN Plastics and Composites Quebec Forum on Company and Industry
Performance, taking place on Thursday, November 29. Over 150 plastic
manufacturers and technology experts will attend this event, which is being
organized by the Quebec region of the Canadian Plastics Industry Association
and taking place at the Hôtel des Seigneurs in Saint-Hyacinthe from 7:30 a.m.
to 4:30 p.m.
This Forum is an initiative that is unique to Quebec and that aims to
assist Quebec manufacturers in improving their competitive position and their
economic performance within the context of market globalization.
Guest speakers include Mr. Bernard Landry, former premier of Quebec, who
will be the keynote speaker, Mr. Serge Bragdon, president and CEO of IPL Inc.,
and Mr. Gilles Gervais, president and general manager of PACCAR. They will
respectively address the role of decision-makers and managers, as well as the
obligation to perform and to integrate the industry.
Following Mr. Landry's speech, Mr. Pierre Fillion, general manager of the
Canadian Plastics Industry Association for Quebec (CPIA Quebec), will launch
the LEAN Environnement program, the first industrial program of its type
targeting small and medium-sized businesses that is linked to environmental
imperatives and sustainable development. He will also announce the 2008
Rendez-vous international de réseautage d'affaires de l'Alliance Plastiques
Affaires et Composite, APAC 2008, which will take place in Montreal on
October 22, 2008.
