Mount Royal College Welcomes Over 3,500 Kids to Camp

    CALGARY, Aug. 1 /CNW/ - Think the halls at Mount Royal College are empty
now that summer is here? Think again. Over 3,500 young people ages 6 to 17 are
enrolled in the College Kids and Youth Programs Centre in July and August. New
programs start every Monday throughout the summer.
    Popular programs with the 9 to 14 set include Reel2Real Film School,
Sci-Quest, Campus Life, Rising Stars Performance Art Camp and Sport and
Adventure Camps. For children aged 6 to 9, there are CATS (computers, arts and
science), Multi-Sport and Globetrotters day camps. The Youth Programs Centre,
for teens aged 14 to 17, features MRC Youth Players, Youth Science Academy and
New York Film School programs.
    Developed to encourage kids' sense of discovery through play the programs
were developed over ten years ago and have been growing ever since. For more
