MOTO Q 9h offers new design and broadband-like speeds
TORONTO, Oct. 2 /CNW/ - Motorola Canada today announced the launch of
MOTO Q 9h exclusively with Rogers Wireless in Canada. This high-performance
all-in-one device boasts a sleek new form factor that brings lightening-fast
download and browsing speeds to smartphone users in Canada. The 3G-powered
MOTO Q 9h operates on Rogers Wireless' High Speed Packet Access (HSPA)
network, enabling on-the-go data users the ability to download and upload web
content(1) as fast as 3.6 megabytes per second. One of the fastest smartphones
on the market, the device houses a suite of features that will appeal to
business users and early adopters of mobile entertainment.
"The MOTO Q 9h is not simply the domain of corporate enterprise
professionals," says Jim Madigan, Director, GSM Sales. "It will be used as a
tool to organize work and social lives, IM friends(1), capture, store, and
playback video, update web pages and blogs via mobile Web(1), and listen to
music wire-free with compatible stereo Bluetooth(R) enabled devices(2). As
download speeds increase and high speed network coverage expands, we're going
to see even more people exploring the vast capabilities smartphones like the
MOTO Q 9h have to offer."
The MOTO Q 9h combines outstanding phone quality with an advanced
ergonomic QWERTY keyboard for easy e-mail and texting(1), built-in GPS
capabilities for on the fly directions(1), a 2.0 megapixel camera with flash
capable of capturing video at 15 frames per second, up to 32 GB of optional
microSD removable memory to take your media files with you, and a variety of
email options for both corporate and personal use(1).
Windows Mobile 6 Experience
One of the first all-in-one devices to feature Windows Mobile 6, the Moto
Q 9h offers consumers the familiar look and feel of their desktop computers.
E-mails are delivered in their original HTML format and displayed as they
would be on a PC. Word documents and Excel(R) spreadsheets can also be viewed
and edited in their original formatting.
The MOTO Q 9h includes Direct Push Technology for up-to-date email
delivery and automatic synchronization of Outlook(R) calendars, tasks and
contacts through Microsoft(R) Exchange Server.
Windows Mobile 6 also offers a valuable set of important device security
and management features that include the capability to remotely wipe all data
from a device should it be lost or stolen, helping ensure that confidential
information remains that way.
Email and Beyond
Microsoft Direct Push is just one of a selection of corporate email
options from which customers have to choose. In addition to email, business
users will be able to access such popular services such as TeleNav GPS
Navigator(TM)(*) which provides GPS-enabled turn-by-turn voice and on-screen
driving direction, colorful 3D moving maps and traffic delay alerts/re-routing
for use in vehicles or while walking(1)(3).
Beyond business use, the MOTO Q 9h provides consumers with a rich
messaging and entertainment experience. With POP3 email support, the MOTO Q 9h
lets you manage up to eight different personal email and messaging accounts
with no added fees. Customers can also communicate with friends and family via
SMS and MMS messages, and IM using such popular platforms as Windows Live
Messenger(R), which is pre-loaded on the Moto Q 9h, or AOL(R) and Yahoo!(R)(1)
via a download.

The MOTO Q 9h will be available for $249.99 exclusively through Rogers
