MotionPortrait iPhone Apps Surpass One Million Downloads

-"All apps $0.99" campaign held in celebration of the milestone and the MotionPortrait exhibit at Macworld 2011-

TOKYO, Jan. 17 /CNW/ - MotionPortrait, Inc. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan) January 17 announced that the company's iPhone and iPad applications (apps) have surpassed a total of one million downloads.  An "all iPhone apps $0.99" campaign will be held in celebration of this milestone and the company's exhibit at Macworld 2011, held Jan. 26 through 29 (Hosted by IDG at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA).   

All of MotionPortrait's paid apps (a total of 9 apps, regularly priced at $2.99 each) can be downloaded for only $0.99 each and 7 apps for FREE each during this campaign held Jan. 17 through 31. 

MotionPortrait has released a total of 16 apps for the iPhone and iPad based on its proprietary MotionPortrait technology which instantly converts a picture into 3D computer graphics and generates 3D animation. MotionPortrait apps continue to hold top ranking positions in the iPhone Entertainment apps category in Japan. ZombieBooth, one of the company's most popular apps with over 200,000 downloads, has ranked No.1 in the iPhone Entertainment apps category in Italy and Tunisia and continues to gain high recognition worldwide. 

By exhibiting at Macworld 2011, MotionPortrait aims to extend the reach of its technology in the US market, the home-base for the iPhone and iPad devices.  During the show, the company will be demonstrating its popular apps and will be introducing a new one and an app currently under development.

1) PhotoSpeak (http://labs.mppark.jp/apps/photospeak.html) This is MotionPortrait's signature application which utilizes the MotionPortrait technology to create 3D avatars.  A portrait photo is instantly brought to life and starts moving and talking. The technology precisely detects key facial characteristics of a portrait photo and converts the image into 3D.  Additional features such as eye glasses and hairstyles can be applied.

2) ZombieBooth: 3D Zombifier (http://labs.mppark.jp/apps/zombiebooth.html) One of the most horrifying iPhone apps converts a portrait photo into a terrorizing 3D zombie. This app represents an implementation of the MotionPortrait technology in the entertainment space.   

3) HourFace: 3D Aging Photo (http://labs.mppark.jp/apps/hourface.html) An app for simulating aging effects in high quality 3D. This app represents an implementation of the MotionPortrait technology to enable beauty and cosmetic simulation.

4) uMovie (http://labs.mppark.jp/apps/umovie.html) A completely new type of movie platform where you can take your portrait photo and turn yourself into the main character of a movie. This app represents an implementation of the MotionPortrait technology to create synthesized video.
