MONTREAL, May 4 /CNW Telbec/ - BPR officially passed the milestone of
its 50th birthday on May1, 2011, the anniversary of the day on which the company
was founded. The same date, May 1, marked the final day on which
candidates could register their projects submitted in the context of
the "$50,000 in grants for its 50th birthday" program. More than 60
not-for-profit organizations are hoping that the project they submitted
will be one of the five selected by BPR.
To mark its 50th birthday, BPR created a special program to award $50,000 in donations.
Five grants of $10,000 each will be given to support five projects in
the education sector whose goal is to foster educational success.
The names of the five organizations selected will be released in the
coming weeks following analysis of the projects submitted.
