MONTREAL, Aug. 25 /CNW Telbec/ - Corus Quebec is proud to announce that
Terry DiMonte will be back on air daily with a new noontime show on Montreal's
Q92, starting September 8.
Terry was a well-known morning radio host in Montreal for 23 years until
last November, when he announced he would be leaving for Calgary and hosting
the morning show on Q107, a Corus Entertainment property.
"There are some things in life it's awfully hard to give up. My close
relationship with my hometown audience in Montreal is one of those things,"
Terry DiMonte said.
The show's daily format will be a one-hour mix of commentary,
conversations with listeners and music. "The key strength of a show like this
is the ability to connect with the audience and make people feel like they're
a real part of it," DiMonte added.
"We're excited to welcome Terry back - a warm and friendly host who knows
how to make you laugh but also how to really connect with his audience," said
Corus Quebec vice-president Mario Cecchini.
"With this remarkable new show, Q92 is giving listeners more of what
they're looking for. Imagine, morning to evening there will be even more good
music, and more good fun, too," explained Q92 general manager Mark Dickie.
"Everybody here is looking forward to working with Terry. I'm especially
thinking of our morning team, who were actually Terry's competition for over
20 years," Dickie said. "It's just one more instance where Q92 breaks through
to offer listeners the very best in radio."
