A night of music, celebration, and speaker Will Graham
MONCTON, NB, June 14 /CNW/ - Two Christian rock bands will join Will
Graham, the grandson of renowned evangelist Billy Graham, at the Moncton
Coliseum on Sunday, June 22, for ignition, a one-night event to reach Moncton
and Saint John students with a message of hope and faith.
ignition is the final phase of a year-long, seven-phase youth training
and mentoring initiative called epicentre, which is designed to explore what
it means for young people to live a life of Christian faith amid the pressures
of contemporary culture.
Since October 2007, local churches, community leaders, and young people
in Saint John and Moncton have been planning and eagerly awaiting ignition,
the most ambitious epicentre event.
"We've seen the lives of young people so positively affected through
epicentre already," says Youth Ministries Manager Dion Collins. "But we know
ignition is going to take what they've learned to a whole new level -
hopefully a deeper and more personal level."
High-energy performances by award-willing Christian bands Barlow Girl and
Kutless will kick off the event, which is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. Will
Graham, who has spoken at past ignition events in Barrie, ON in 2004; Halifax,
NS in 2005; St. John's, NFLD in 2005; Victoria, BC in 2006; and London, ON in
2007; will present a powerful message about the new life and hope found in
