    - Lancer Earth Visits Five Countries and Fifteen Topics -

    MISSISSAUGA, ON, Aug. 7 /CNW/ - Today, Mitsubishi Motor Sales Of Canada
Inc. (MMSCAN) will expand its marketing arsenal for the all new 2008 Lancer
compact sports sedan, to include a technologically advanced Lancer specific
website designed to take consumers across five different
countries and fifteen different topics.

one site to experience a truly global sensory occurrence, said Larry Futers,
Director of National Marketing, MMSCAN. "Through recent advances in
technology, we've been able to go beyond developing a reality based test drive
experience to producing the thrill and excitement of the actual Lancer as it
travels across the globe."
    MMSCAN believes this approach is the right way to go given that
Mitsubishi owners are the youngest in the industry and spend more time online
than the average car buyer. In addition to developing a tech savvy site,
MMSCAN has the ongoing challenge of providing relevant, innovative content
that will continue to engage its web savvy shoppers.
    By visiting Lancer Earth, Canadians will now be exposed to the nature of
the brand in other countries around the world (including, Japan, Germany,
Senegal, the U.S. and Canada). Plus, along the way this site provides a
variety of interactive tools to help make the exploration of information both
convenient and engaging.
    Designed and built on a new propriety Flash/ActionScript 3 framework, pushes the limits of online marketing technology. Featured on
the site are custom Lancer models within 3D environments with real-time user
interactivity that controls every sequence of the experience. Then, CGI video
is used to highlight the features of our products using 3D animated sequences.
    Using the Lancer engineering CAD data, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada
used visualization partners to model and animate the Lancer GTS to provide a
more engaging customer experience.
    Building on the success of, MMSCAN will redesign its award
winning consumer site,, over the next few months,
(rated by J.D. Power & Associates as one of the most improved sites in 2007)
to include some of the new technologies and approaches it developed in Lancer
Earth. The goal here is to make our Canadian websites consistently fresh,
exciting and enjoyable to maneuver through and ultimately increase showroom
traffic for our more than 60 dealers nationwide.
