Mikey Network applauds McGuinty government for $3 million defibrillator investment

    TORONTO, March 29 /CNW/ - Hugh Heron, Co-Founder of The Mikey Network
applauded today's announcement that the McGuinty Government will provide
$3 million to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario for creation of a
'Thousand Defibrillators Program' for Ontario's recreational facilities.
    Heron, also Principal and Partner in The Heron Group of Companies and
President of Heathwood Homes said, "I am delighted to support Premier
McGuinty's recognition of the importance of defibrillators in public places
across the province, particularly recreational facilities. The Mikey Network
will continue to work with Health Promotion Minister Jim Watson and the
government and its objective for a heart healthy Ontario."

    The Mikey Network is a major life-saving initiative dedicated in memory
of former Heathwood Homes Partner, Mike Salem, who died suddenly of cardiac
arrest on a golf course.
