Mick Finally Tricked by CKOI's Justiciers Masqués

    MONTREAL, Oct. 10 /CNW Telbec/ - The Justiciers Masqués, Marc-Antoine
Audette and Sébastien Trudel, pulled off a major coup yesterday by tricking
chief Rolling Stone Mick Jagger, himself. Pretending to be Prime Minister
Stephen Harper, the Justiciers managed to speak to Mick for several minutes on
the pretext of wanting to induct him into the Order of Canada.
It was Marc-Antoine who spoke to Jagger in a crazy half-French
half-English conversation that was full of lines taken from Rolling Stones
songs. Jagger went along with it for a while, but he later admitted, after
Marc-Antoine revealed his true identity, that he thought it must be some kind
of joke, and that he finds the Justiciers very funny. Audette says the singer
was "very friendly."
The gag was in the works for four months, but the idea of doing a number
on Mick Jagger had been floating around for a few years. "Mick Jagger is one
of the last living legends, in addition to being Richard Z Sirois' ultimate
idol. Bagging Jagger was like a dream come true!" explained Sébastien Trudel.
The Jagger call will be broadcast tomorrow, October 11, on 96.9 CKOI in
the Justiciers Masqués show, at 4:20 and 5:20.
In the last few years, the Justiciers Masqués have snared many big names,
including Britney Spears, Paul McCartney, Bill Gates and French presidents
Nicolas Sarkozy and Jacques Chirac. The call to Chirac was rated by the BBC as
one of the top 30 best moments in radio history of all time.

The Justiciers Masqués, with Richard Z Sirois, entertain CKOI listeners
Monday to Friday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. They're winners of the Canadian
Association of Broadcasters Gold Ribbon Award for best comedy show on
French-language radio.
