MONTREAL, Aug. 22 /CNW Telbec/ - NATIONAL Public Relations is proud to
announce the presence of Mr. Michael Stopford, Group Director, Corporate
Reputation, Worldwide Public Affairs and Communications for Coca-Cola, at
Tremblant Forum 07 held on September 19 and 20. Arriving from Atlanta, he will
explain how his company has managed to position itself as one of the most
highly-respected in the world.
In fact, Coca-Cola was ranked no. 1 for the 7th consecutive year in the
Interbrand ranking of the Best Global Brands recently published in Business
Week. Its brand value is estimated at $65 billion, a testament to the
company's ability to successfully manage the economic value of its intangible
assets like brand and reputation.
Particularly relevant for communications and public affairs
professionals, the theme of this fourth edition of the Tremblant Forum on
corporate responsibility and sustainability is Responsible communications for
a sustainable reputation.
Renowned speakers from around the world
Over the years, Mr. Stopford has acquired a wide range of experience in
the field of social responsibility which he developed while working for
companies such as Syngenta, Exxon Mobil, the World Bank and the United
Nations, among others. "The companies which succeed best with regards to
sustainable development are those that ensure social responsibility is based
on the activities of the company and reflect its fundamental values,"
Mr. Stopford affirmed. "Although communications cannot replace tangible
results, they facilitate the establishment of dialogue with primary
stakeholders. The key to success rests on credibility, the core of one's
reputation, and communications must maintain and protect this."
This year other world famous lecturers will share their expertise and
experiences in social responsibility with the 140 participants at the
Tremblant Forum. In addition to Mr. Stopford, the event will host, among
others, Susanne Stormer of Novo Nordisk, Steven Guilbeault of Greenpeace,
Daniel Gagnier of the International Institute for Sustainable Development and
Yves-Thomas Dorval of Imperial Tobacco.
