VANCOUVER, Jan. 27 /CNW/ - ROC CONGO PROJECTS: Mexivada is pleased to
report that its Camp Socobois-Diamond, and Camp Socobois-Gold Permis des
Recherches ("PRs") were approved and signed in the Republic of Congo
(Brazzaville) ("ROC") on January 23rd by Hon. Denis Sassou N'Guesso, the
President and Head of State of the ROC Congo. The Hon. Mines Ministre Pierre
OBA also signed these final decrees, granting exclusive tenure and title to
the concessions to Compagnie Minière du Chaillu, Mexivada's wholly-owned Congo
The Camp Socobois PRs cover a 780 square kilometre area, between the
Malambani PRs on the north and the Bitsandou PR on the south side. Mexivada
has been exploring alluvial gold occurrences located in the Camp Socobois
permit area, where artisanal gold miners have been working. Exploration is
being conducted in the "Vourapa" target area for diamonds and kimberlite
indicator minerals. Small alluvial diamonds have been found by Mexivada at
Vourapa, but no kimberlitic sources have yet been located.
SIERRA LEONE PROJECTS: Mexivada's partners in the Kono mining district of
Sierra Leone have received an artisanal mining license ("AML") from the
government of Sierra Leone. Mexivada has mobilized its engineering staff in
preparation for supervision and guidance of these mining operations. An
application for a second AML is in process for the same area near Koidu Town.
Mexivada also is evaluating several other opportunities for gold and diamond
exploration and mining in Sierra Leone.
