Mexivada appoints John J. Ellis as Director

    VANCOUVER, June 11 /CNW/ - Mexivada Mining Corp. is very pleased to
announce that Mr. John J. Ellis of Spring Creek, Nevada, has agreed to join
the Board of Directors of Mexivada, effective immediately. Mr. Ellis was
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Anglo Gold - North America, Hudson Bay
Mining and Smelting Company, and Independence Mining Company. He was VP
Operations for CVRD-Inco for PTI Indonesia and then Managing Director of
CVRD-Inco for Voisey's Bay Nickel.
    Mr. Ellis is a Professional Engineer, registered in British Columbia. He
is a graduate in metallurgical engineering from the Haileybury School of Mines
and the Montana College of Science and Technology. Mr. Ellis is a member of
the C.I.M., S.M.E., and the Society for Mining, Metallurgy, & Exploration. He
is a past Director of the Mining Association of Manitoba, the Mining
Association of Canada, the National Mining Association, the Nevada Mining
Association, Cashman Equipment, Queenstake Resources, and Thompson-Lunden.
    The Company has agreed to grant incentive stock options to Mr. Ellis on
100,000 common shares at an exercise price of $0.51 per share for a period of
five years.
