TORONTO, May 7 /CNW/ - In recognition of their high standard of
excellence in building management, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC)
- has been presented with three prestigious awards from the Building Owners
and Managers Association of the Greater Toronto Area (BOMA Toronto): 2009
Building of the Year - Public Assembly Facility Category, 2009 Certificate of
Building Excellence and 2009 Certificate of Management Excellence.
BOMA Canada is the voice of the Canadian commercial real estate industry,
addressing nation-wide issues and promoting industry excellence through

the awards, BOMA Toronto used a number of criteria including management

offers clients a roster of green meeting options including Zero Waste Events
and clean, renewable energy, made possible through a special partnership with
Bullfrog Power. The MTCC currently diverts 77% of all waste generated, and
donates more than 2,000 lbs of food leftovers annually to local food banks.
"Our highly qualified team continuously strives to deliver a quality
experience which satisfies our customers while benefitting the local
community," said Barry Smith, President & CEO of the MTCC. "Having previously
