Metro Life Panel Launches in Canada

    Canada's largest free daily launches online research panel in Canada's
    5 English Metro Markets

    TORONTO, April 2 /CNW/ - Metro Canada, Canada's largest free daily
newspaper is launching Metro Life Panel, an online research tool dedicated to
communicating with its readers. Metro will be inviting readers from Vancouver,
Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto and Ottawa to join the online panel, over the next few months.
    The Metro Life Panel is currently in seven countries: Denmark, France,
Portugal, Sweden, U.S., and most recently, launched in Italy and Spain last
month. As of January, the panel had 13,400 members. The objective is to
achieve 50,000 panel members internationally by the end of this year.
    The Metro Life Panel will be beneficial for Metro, its advertisers and
    Advertisers, commercial partners and agencies will gain valuable insight
into the Metropolitan audience, their lifestyles, purchasing habits and how
best to reach them. In addition, the Metro Life Panel will be able to show
readers advertising creative for pre- and post-campaign testing, to determine
impact, awareness and perceptions. Metro Life Panel will be able to deliver
results for local, regional, national and international surveys as fast as 
    Metro will also regularly ask its readers about the design and content of
Metro to ensure the newspaper meets their needs. Metro will also be able to
interact with readers, get their opinions, and publish the results in next
day's paper.
