Canada's largest free daily announces Steve Shrout as publisher of Metro
TORONTO, April 16 /CNW/ - Metro Canada is pleased to announce the
appointment of Steve Shrout as publisher of the recently launched Metro
Alberta newspapers - Metro Edmonton and Metro Calgary.
Steve joins Metro with extensive experience in senior sales and
management roles. Steve most recently worked as the Director of Sales for
JuneWarren, which is Canada's largest publisher of oil and gas magazines and
an oil and gas trade directory. Prior to that, Steve spent over seven years at
the Lethbridge Herald, the last three as Advertising Director. Steve brings an
in-depth understanding of the media landscape in Alberta, from both a
newspaper and magazine perspective.
Steve is married with two daughters, and has grown to embrace Alberta's
progressive culture since moving to Alberta 28 years ago. Steve's position as
publisher of Metro Alberta begins April 23, 2007.
