Mercedes-Benz Maple officially opens for business

    TORONTO, Aug. 20 /CNW/ - Mercedes-Benz Canada opened Mercedes-Benz
Maple's doors for business; the facility is now fully operational. This newest
dealership can be found in Maple, one of Canada's fastest growing cities north
of Toronto.
This makes Mercedes-Benz Maple one of seven well located Mercedes-Benz
Canada dealerships in the Greater Toronto Area. It joins 13 other
Mercedes-Benz Canada retail owned and operated dealerships which provide work
for more than 900 employees across Canada. There are seven stores in Toronto
(plus two stand alone service facilities and a Pre-Owned Centre), four in
Vancouver, two in Montreal and one in London, Ontario.
Conveniently located on 3.4 acres in the Maple Auto Mall on Jane Street,
between Vaughan Mills Mall and Canada's Wonderland, Mercedes-Benz Maple's
37,000 sq ft. state-of-art facility will retail both Mercedes-Benz and smart
models.
The layout and infrastructure of the Mercedes-Benz Maple facility has
followed once again the highly efficient proprietary Mercedes-Benz "Autohaus"
concept which can be found in many other Mercedes-Benz retail and
privately-owned dealerships across the country. Not only does "Autohaus"
promote wide open areas, high ceilings and the use of glass to maintain
transparency everywhere in the dealership, it also recommends proven and
attractive design, architectural and building guidelines.
The parts and service area is over 14,000 sq. ft and includes 14 service
bays, 3 wash bays, a fully stocked parts department and a drive-in reception
area.
The dealership started operating with a full staff of 30 experienced and
dedicated employees.
A stunning SL550 coupe/roadster was the first vehicle to be officially
sold from Mercedes-Benz Maple; it was delivered to Ms. Cathy Zanchin.
Ms. Zanchin was thrilled to be the first Mercedes-Benz Maple customer,
she said as her Sales Consultant handed her the keys, "This new facility is
absolutely gorgeous; totally what I expected from Mercedes-Benz but above all,
it is very conveniently located for me. I live close to this booming part of
Toronto and it made great sense for Mercedes-Benz Canada to build a dealership
here."
Ms. Zanchin's views were also echoed by Marcus Breitschwerdt, President
and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Canada who said, "We have an ideal network of 53
strategically located Mercedes-Benz dealerships across the country. Our
facilities are spread out enough to ensure a sound investment for the dealer
but these stores also need to provide the best possible customer convenience
in any given market. He added, "Our decision to build Maple was motivated by
these essential rules. This area of Toronto is growing very quickly; it was
critical that we become an engaged player in this neighbourhood to meet our
customers' needs in every way."
