TORONTO, Feb. 13 /CNW/ - Medworxx, the makers of a strategic software
platform that hospitals use to communicate, aggregate, and analyze knowledge,
announced their continued expansion into the United States with the adoption
of the Medworxx Policy & Procedure Management System and Content Management
System (CMS) by regional reference lab, NorDx, in Maine. The Medworxx solution
will enable NorDx to manage updates, version and approvals of their
comprehensive set of documents detailing processes, procedures, and policies
that meet the needs of the company and accreditation authorities.
"In search of a cost-effective approach to automating this system, NorDx
found that the Medworxx family of products, in particular the Policy &
Procedures Management System and CMS, would quickly meet our needs," said
Denis Rochette, Director, IT for NorDx. "The Policy features would allow us to
gain positive control over policy and procedure reviews and approvals as well
as provide an efficient means for ensuring that employees always have the
latest approved version readily accessible. The CMS provided a wonderful
opportunity to not only 'package' the policies in an orderly and logical
fashion but also to reorganize our Intranet and its content."
"Introduction of both the Medworxx Policy & Procedures Management System
and CMS will allow us to standardize naming conventions and better understand
how the documents are used. Structuring both systems to reflect this
information will allow us to make accessing the documents by staff members
easy and fast," says Rochette. Maine Medical Center, a member of MaineHealth
and a NorDx affiliate, also purchased the Medworxx Policy & Procedure
Management System and has an option to exercise the right to purchase the
Medworxx Learning Management System (LMS) and Content Management System (CMS).
"We are excited to have NorDx and Maine Medical join the Medworxx
family", said Dan Matlow, President & CEO, Medworxx. "The Medworxx Policy &
Procedure Management System enables organizations to increase compliance,
reduce costs, and increase productivity. The Medworxx solution, combining
technology and best practices for hospital, is ideal for supporting large
US-based Integrated Health Networks."
