Media Invitation - Photo Opportunity - Intergenerational Get-together in Kent Park: Some one hundred students and seniors will join Frédéric Back and Mayor Michael Applebaum to create a symbolic intergenerational meeting place



    MONTREAL, June 19 /CNW Telbec/ - To mark the 15th anniversary of the
Côte-des-Neiges Seniors Centre walk-a-thon, some fifty students from
Félix-Leclerc school and about fifty seniors will join Frédéric Back, a highly
regarded artist and Côte-des-Neiges resident, to create a symbolic
intergenerational meeting place in Kent Park, on June 20, at 10:30 a.m.
Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce (CDN-NDG) borough Mayor Michael Applebaum
and Côte-des-Neiges district Councillor Francine Senécal will also be on hand.
    During the event, the students and seniors will unveil a plaque to be
permanently installed in the park. They will also plant a tree. The
walk-a-thon is one of the main activities organized by the Côte-des-Neiges
Seniors Centre to bring together young people and seniors in the
Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood.

    This intergenerational get-together will feature a number of interesting
visual elements, as it is being held outdoors. The students and seniors will
symbolically plant a tree along with Frédéric Back, a highly regarded artist
and neighbourhood resident. The spokespersons, as well as a few students from
Félix-Leclerc elementary school, will also be available for interviews.
