Media invitation - Closing ceremony of the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau - A far-reaching trip for children with cancer

    MONTREAL, July 9 /CNW Telbec/ - The Fondation Centre de cancérologie
Charles-Bruneau invites media representatives to the cyclists finish and the
closing ceremony of the 13th edition of the Tour CIBC Charles-Bruneau, to be
held at the Montreal City Hall and to be attended by the mayor of Montreal, Mr
Gérald Tremblay. At that occasion, the amount of money raised for the benefit
of the Fondation Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau will also be
    The spokesperson of the Tour 2008, Delson Lafrenière, the spokesperson of
the Fondation Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau, Pierre Bruneau, and the
cyclists will all be at the event to share the rich experiences made
throughout the trip. The children who were paired with the cyclists as well as
their families will also be at the ceremony to give the cyclists a warm
    From July 7 to 10 July, our intrepid cyclists covered 600 km, leading
them from Montreal to Drummondville, over Sherbrooke and
St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Throughout the trek, they wore the photo of a sick
child on their heart, reminding them of the importance of continuing the fight
against cancer.

    The event will take place in the presence of:

    - Delson Lafrenière (16 years), spokesperson of the Tour CIBC Charles-
      Bruneau, presently in remission of a cancer
    - Pierre Bruneau, spokesperson of the Fondation Centre de cancérologie
    - Sylvain Vinet, Senior Vice-President, Retail Distribution, Eastern
      Canada, CIBC
    - Gérald Tremblay, Mayor of Montreal
