60th anniversary event, commemorating the company's six decades of innovation
in the field of flight simulation and training. The event will bring together
members of the aerospace industry from around the globe. The Honourable
Michael Fortier, Minister of Public Works and Government Services will
participate in the celebration.
1947: CAE is founded, its 18 employees housed in a vacant hangar at
Saint-Hubert Airport. The founder, an ex-Royal Canadian Air Force officer,
assembled what he called "a war-trained team that was extremely innovative and
