MONTREAL, June 28 /CNW Telbec/ - On Tuesday, July 3, one day before the
SWATCH-FIVB Beach Volley World Tour begins, downtown Montreal will host the
Bud Light Parade of Nations, which will bring together more than 80 athletes
from the 30 countries represented at the event. They will include Marie-Andrée
Lessard and Sarah Maxwell, Quebec's top female athletes on the world circuit
and spokespersons for the Bud Light Parade of Nations.
The parade will start at 11:30 a.m. at Place du Canada (corner of
René-Lévesque Boulevard and Peel Street). The athletes will walk up Peel to
de Maisonneuve Boulevard, then toward Crescent Street (between de Maisonneuve
and Sainte-Catherine Street), where a beach volleyball court will be set up
for the occasion.
At noon, the beach volleyball players will participate in some friendly
games to attract interest among spectators and to encourage them to attend the
tournament in large numbers over the following days. The tournament will be
held at Uniprix Stadium in Jarry Park from July 4 to 8.
Experience the first-ever beach volleyball Bud Light Parade of Nations.
