Media invitation - A few hours away from the opening of the Festival Bel Canto in Knowlton, members of the media are invited to attend the dress rehearsal of the opera Norma and to take part in a press briefing being given by Maestro Kent Nagano

    MONTREAL, Aug. 14 /CNW Telbec/ - With the opening of the Festival Bel
Canto a few hours away, the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal invites media
representatives to the magnificent village of Knowlton in the Eastern
Townships on August 15 at 1 p.m. Under the big top, the principal venue for
the various concerts in the Festival Bel Canto, Maestro Kent Nagano will meet
with journalists for a press briefing. Vincenzo Cavalieri, technical director
of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Professor Bruno Cagli,
also of the Academy, and Marco Genoni, honorary president of the Festival Bel
Canto, will be on hand as well to answer questions from the media.
    At 3 p.m., representatives of the press will be able to attend the first
scenes of the opera Norma (concert version) during the dress rehearsal.
