Media Alert/Photo Opportunity - BC Hydro grants "amnesty" to incandescent light strings

               Vancouver, BC

    WHAT:      BC Hydro will launch an impressive interactive light
               installation in Burrard Courtyard to demonstrate the power of
               energy efficient LED Christmas lights.

               There will also be an opportunity for customers to recycle
               strings of inefficient incandescent Christmas lights. For each
               string of incandescent holiday lights recycled at the Burrard
               location, BC Hydro will donate five dollars to the Food Bank.
