WHAT: The Ultimate Whisky Bar Chef Challenge, in which five top Toronto
bartenders will be given a secret "black box" ingredient to
include in a cocktail that will earn them international
The recipe will be featured on whiskymag.com by Whisky magazine
of London, England, sponsor of the international Whisky Live show
taking place in Toronto. Similar shows are held in London, Tokyo,
Paris, Glasgow and Johannesburg, among others.
The winning cocktail will also be featured in a coming LCBO
whisky promotion and earn the winner $1,000.
Creations will be judged by a celebrity panel.
Contestants are Barbora Sabova, Drake Hotel; Shoana Jensen, KI
Modern Japanese and Bar; Simon Ho, Harbord Room; Kris Perez,
Palais Royal; and Kevin Beer, The Martini Club.
