Media Alert - Toronto Boat Show Announces that Recreational Boating Contributes Billions to Canadian Economy

    TORONTO, Jan. 14 /CNW/ -

    What:     On the 50th anniversary of Canada's largest boat show, a press
              conference will be held to announce the findings of a landmark
              economic impact study. Titled The Economic Impact of
              Recreational Boating in Canada: 2006 Summary Report, it will
              demonstrate the significant impact the Canadian recreational
              boating industry has on the Canadian economy.

    Who:      Canadian Marine Manufacturers Association chair Rick Layzell
              will introduce the study, conducted by Genesis Research Inc.
              and Smith Gunther Associates Ltd., for Discover Boating Canada,
              a public awareness effort to grow boating on behalf of the
              Canadian recreational boating industry.
