    Dine out at one of more than 50 participating restaurants in Toronto on
    April 29th and make a difference in the lives of people living with

    TORONTO, April 27 /CNW/ -

    What:     A Taste for Life is an annual fundraiser benefiting Fife House,
              Toronto's leading provider of secure and supportive affordable
              housing and support services to people living with HIV/AIDS. A
              Taste for Life is celebrating its 9th year in Toronto and
              raised more than $75,000 for Fife House in 2008.

    When:     Evening of Wednesday, April 29, 2009 (hours vary depending on

    Where:    Reservations can be made at one of 55 participating
              restaurants, ranging from casual fare to elegant fine dining,
              across Toronto. A list of participating restaurants can be

    How:      Plan to dine out that evening with family, friends or
              colleagues, at one of the participating restaurants
              (reservations recommended) and the restaurant will donate a
              percentage of that evening's food and beverage receipts to Fife
              House. Can't make it to dinner? Drop by one of the restaurants
              that are open late for dessert, coffee or cocktails.

    All funds raised by A Taste for Life go directly to Fife House, an
innovative and client-focused North American leader in its delivery of
services for people living with HIV/AIDS. Services focus on enhancing quality
of life, building on individual strengths and promoting independence - a key
determinant of which is access to secure and affordable housing. Through its
three supportive housing facilities, Fife House provides 80 per cent of the
available supportive housing for persons living with HIV/AIDS in the GTA.
Other services include the Homeless Outreach Program and the Transitional
Housing program. In 2008, Fife House was able to provide much needed services
to 493 persons living with HIV/AIDS.
